STAYVUE / LONG-TERM RENTALS
Terms of Service
Version 2026-09-28-r7 · StayVue Inc.
1. Optional email reminders
Email reminders are optional and require the recipient’s confirmation. Owners and co-owners choose their own preferences; tenants may opt in to reminders for their selected lease. Schedules are prepared when the workspace is open and sent by the hosted service after the app closes. Rent reminders cover a rolling 90-day schedule; open and sync to refresh it. Reminders reflect the last uploaded schedule, may become outdated, and do not verify payments, send legal notices or automatically renew leases. Delivery may be delayed or fail and may stop when the hosted service or account access ends.
2. Marketplace purchase codes
An authorized Etsy or other marketplace purchase may include a single-use code for a stated StayVue tier. Redeem it while signed in to your verified account. The code binds to one workspace and does not reset a trial or grant a different tier. A seller-approved refund or invalid purchase may revoke the code, license and dependent upgrade credit. Marketplace orders are not charged again through Stripe when redeemed.
3. Company closure and continuity
If StayVue decides to permanently discontinue this product, we will provide a downloadable continuity edition and a signed continuity license to workspaces with an active, non-refunded purchased license, including a valid free-access promotion. We aim to give at least 90 days’ notice by account email and on our website when reasonably possible. Before closure, sign in, restore your purchase to obtain your continuity license, download the continuity app, and save an encrypted backup and recovery key. The continuity edition allows the purchased local rental tools to keep working without StayVue account or payment servers. It does not transfer records to another customer or unlock unrelated workspaces. Cloud sync, provider sign-in, email delivery, updates and support may end or depend on third parties. You must retain the downloaded app and records on a compatible device; browser changes, device failure and unavailable third-party services may affect continued use. An expired unpaid trial does not qualify. Mandatory consumer rights remain unchanged.
4. About these terms
These terms cover StayVue’s long-term rental software, provided by StayVue Inc. They apply to the version and plan you obtain. By accepting them when creating a workspace or purchasing, you agree to these terms. Do not use the service if you do not agree. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and authorized to manage the records you enter.
5. Your license and trial
The selected plan grants a personal, non-exclusive license to use the long-term rental product within its displayed unit, co-owner and restricted-staff limits. The server account has one 14-day trial. Its deadline is stored on the server and does not restart when you clear browser storage, restore a backup or change devices. A verified email and online account check are required for owner access. After the trial, a one-time purchase is required to continue using the app. An unlicensed workspace shows a payment screen; downloading an encrypted backup or a readable records export remains available. A one-time payment is for the purchased product and plan; it is not a promise of perpetual hosted services, all future major products, or every future paid add-on. Optional additions require a separate purchase and will be clearly identified.
6. Prices, payment and refunds
Essentials costs US$39, Portfolio US$69 and Together US$89 as a one-time software purchase. The optional Tenant Portal costs US$9 for Essentials or Portfolio and is included with Together. Inspection tools are included in every plan. Plan upgrades cost the difference between the current published base-plan prices; your existing plan receives its full current price as credit, including if purchased at an earlier price. A separately purchased Tenant Portal carries forward, but does not reduce the base-plan upgrade price. Applicable taxes, if any, and the final total are displayed before payment. Stripe processes card payments; StayVue does not store full card details. Use the 14-day free trial to assess suitability before buying. Purchases are generally final; there is no automatic refund or change-of-mind guarantee after purchase. We review refund requests individually where there is a legitimate issue, such as a duplicate charge, failure to provide purchased access, or a material technical problem we cannot reasonably resolve. Contact billing@getstayvue.com with the purchase email, order reference and a description of the issue. A request does not guarantee approval. This policy does not limit any cancellation, legal warranty, refund or other remedy required by applicable law. See the Refund Policy for the review process.
7. Your data and backups
You own your records. Operational records are encrypted in browser storage, with optional encrypted copies in your own folder or connected cloud drive. Clearing site data, using private browsing, losing a device or forgetting credentials can remove access to a local copy. Configure and check backups and keep the recovery key separately. Folder backups run while the workspace is open and permission remains valid; pending or failed backups are not completed backups. StayVue cannot retrieve an encryption key it does not hold or guarantee recovery of records never backed up.
8. Shared access and third-party accounts
Co-owner logins provide full owner-workspace access. Restricted staff and private tenant portals instead use separately encrypted copies of selected information. File handoff requires the recipient to open a shared file and the owner to review returned updates; it is not an always-online service. Expiry and revocation prevent new owner imports but cannot erase information already downloaded. You are responsible for authorizing co-owners, granting drive permissions and protecting credentials. Previously downloaded copies cannot be recalled. Google, Microsoft, email providers and other third parties operate under their own terms. Their availability, quotas, permissions and account restrictions can affect connected features.
9. Email and supporting documents
You decide the recipient, content and timing of rental correspondence. StayVue also sends necessary account verification, welcome, password-reset, security, invitation and purchase-confirmation emails, and internal signup, purchase and submitted-feedback notifications. Do not send spam, unlawful messages or information you are not entitled to share. Provider-confirmed sending or acceptance is not proof of delivery, reading, or legal service. You are responsible for checking required forms, notice periods, rent-increase rules, entry permissions and lawful delivery methods. Uploaded receipts and photos are records you supply; the app does not independently authenticate their contents.
10. Financial and legal responsibility
StayVue organizes information and calculations; it does not provide accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, file returns, collect rent, or determine a tenant’s legal rights. Review imports, classifications, balances, ownership allocations and exports. Mortgage principal, capital assets, deposits and reversals require different treatment from operating expenses. Consult an appropriately qualified adviser when needed.
11. Acceptable use and intellectual property
Do not misuse the service, interfere with security, distribute malware, infringe rights, attempt unauthorized access or resell the software without permission. StayVue retains its software, branding and other intellectual property. Your content remains yours; you grant only the permission needed to process it at your direction. Rights permitted by applicable law are not restricted by this clause.
12. Availability, changes and support
Software may contain errors and features may need updates. Internet-dependent features may be unavailable when a provider or network is unavailable. We may issue security and compatibility updates and will give reasonable notice of material changes where practicable. We do not guarantee a particular uptime or response time unless separately agreed. Email support@getstayvue.com for account, setup, backup, billing-access and reproducible technical issues. Standard email support is included; custom migration, bookkeeping, legal advice and on-site assistance are not included. Support is handled asynchronously, with no guaranteed response time or 24-hour emergency coverage. See the Support Policy for how to request help.
13. Liability and your rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the software is supplied as available and StayVue is not responsible for indirect losses arising from misuse, inaccurate input, third-party failures or missing backups. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or warranties that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections. These terms do not waive rights arising from intentional misconduct or gross fault where such exclusions are prohibited.
14. Ending use
You may stop using the product and export your records at any time. Keep needed records and backups before removing local data or disconnecting services. We may restrict access to hosted integrations for unlawful use or material breach, subject to applicable law. Ending use does not transfer ownership of your records to StayVue.
15. Governing law and disputes
Quebec law and applicable Canadian federal law govern these terms, subject to mandatory protections in your place of residence. Contact support@getstayvue.com first so we can attempt to resolve a concern. Courts with competent jurisdiction may hear disputes. No mandatory arbitration, class-action waiver or waiver of statutory consumer remedies is imposed by these terms.
